For Lifeguard positions:
You must be at least 15 years of age to become a lifeguard.
You must pass the Lifeguard Certification class before you can start work.
You must successfully interview with our Staffing Manager.
For Gate Attendant positions:
You must be at least 15 years of age.
You do not have to have any special certification to be a Gate Attendant.
How will your work schedule and location be determined?
Your work schedule is based on your availability. When you are hired, you will fill out your Availability Calendar in which you will X through any days that you are not able to work. You will also include whether you want to work Part Time (10-20 hours/week) or Full Time (20-40 hours) per week.
We will assign you to a specific pool for the season. The pool location is determined by your physical home address but will typically be no further away that 10-15 miles. We have approximately 70 locations in 6 different counties where we staff lifeguards. We staff approximately 10 locations for Gate Attendant positions.
NEW Guards: Your first step is to complete a job application. Once the application is received, we will contact you for an interview.
RETURNING GUARDS: Even if you worked for us last summer, you still need to re-apply. You do not need to come in for another interview.
How do you check your work schedule?
Your schedule is located on mymitc.searspool.com/mymitc Log in with your username and password. If you are unsure of your username and/or password, call the office at 770-993-7492.
On the left side of the screen, Click on MyCalendar to view your schedule. Click on MyTimesheet to view the actual hours you have worked. If there is an error on your timesheet (missing clock in/out), you can add an attendance record request. If you have other errors, please call the office. On the right side of the screen under your name, use the drop down arrow to access Open Shifts. You can view the open shifts for one day or for a period of time. If you see a shift that you want, request it!
As we are continually building and updating schedules, be sure to check your calendar on a regular basis. DO NOT take a screen shot and save it to your phone because that may not be your final schedule.
REMEMBER, if you are scheduled for a shift, you need to be there! If you are not able to work, it is your responsibility to find a sub.
When will you get paid?
Your paycheck is issued on a bi-weekly basis on Fridays. The pay period is for the two weeks prior to payday. Example: Payday is June 16. This check covers all hours worked for the period May 27 through June 10. If you did not sign up for Direct Deposit, you must come to the office to pick up your check. You can view your paystubs at www.paychexonline.com. The instructions for creating your account on Paychex is located here.
